Dubai Ports World sets new record at Jeddah Port's South Container Terminal

Record Monthly Throughput: Exceeded 221,200 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), surpassing pre-disruption levels seen before late 2023.

Export Milestone: Reached a record-high monthly export volume of 79,720 TEUs.

Strong First Half: Volumes grew nearly 79% year-on-year in the first half of 2026 across 390 vessel calls.

New Services: Welcomed a maiden call from a mainline container vessel operated by Wan Hai in July.

Infrastructure & Upgrades

Equipment Expansion: Added three new quay container cranes (bringing the total to 17), 17 automated electric rubber-tyred gantry cranes, 35 electric terminal tractors, and 30 trailers.

Capacity Goal: Ongoing expansion plans target an annual capacity increase to 5 million TEUs.

Jeddah Logistics Park: A $250 million logistics park covering 415,000 sq m is under development to integrate maritime operations with inland distribution.
